                                                                       The father of fairy tales

【讲课人】  潍城实验中学   王磊

【教授年级学科】英语初中二年级

【教学目标】

1.      引导学生能够读懂有关介绍作家的文章,了解安徒生生平及其作品;

2.      指导学生运用阅读策略获取信息,明白主旨大意,抓住内容细节,并能根据提示信息介绍其他的作家;

3.      通过阅读短文,帮助学生更加明白书籍对人们思想的影响,从而教育他们要多读书,读好书。

【教学重难点】

重点:读懂安徒生生平及作品。

难点:能介绍安徒生的生平以及会介绍其他作家。

【教学过程】

I Pre-reading

1. Warming up   Enjoy the pictures of fairy tales.  (利用精彩童话图片,活跃气氛)

划分小组,介绍竞争机制,答对问题,获得书签,最后获得最多的小组获胜。

2. Leading in.  

Teacher:When I was young, I had many good friends. They taught me many interesting things about people and life. Today I have brought them here, I’m sure you would like to know them,right?

幻灯片展示3本书:The Ugly Ducking  The Little Match Girl  The Little Mermaid  

出示读书名言:Good books are our good friends.

Teacher: Who is the writer?

Ss: Anderson.

II While-reading

总读

Read the whole passage and choose the best answer.

What’s the main idea of the passage?  (Reading tip 1: Skimming)

A. The life of Anderson

B. The fairy tales of Anderson

C. The life and fairy tales of Anderson

介绍阅读策略:略读。要求学生快速阅读。然后核对答案。

T: After skimming, you know the main idea of the passage. If you want to know the life of Anderson, please read paragraph 2.

 

分读

1. Read paragraph 2, finish the exercises.

(1) Finish the timetable for Anderson. (Reading tip 2:  Scanning)

首先介绍阅读策略,然后学生阅读,读完后核对答案。

拓展问题:从书中哪句话看出第二题的答案,教育学生热爱自然,热爱生命。

T: Anderson wrote so many books. What are his books about?

Paragraphs 1 and 3 will tell you the answer.

2. Read paragraphs 1 and 3, finish the exercise. (Careful reading)

首先介绍阅读策略,然后学生阅读,读完后核对答案。

教师再领读一遍,加深学生对安徒生作品的认识。

能力拓展:

T: What do you think of Anderson’s books?

Ss: I think Anderson’s books are wnderful / interesting/ popular / great…

小组讨论:

Are all the books good for students?

As a student, I think we should read___________________________________

学生展示答案。

教师总结。

T: Anderson’s books are good for us. What do people think of him? Let’s read paragraph 4.

3. Read paragraph 4, answer the question. (Careful reading)

Why is there a statue(雕像) of the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen’s harbor ?

首先介绍阅读策略,然后学生阅读,读完后核对答案。

教师总结:People love Anderson and his books. So we’ are always reading his books.

Just like the saying says:

(出示读书名言: Reading good books is like talking with many noble people.)

T: Anderson is a noble person. It’s our duty to introduce him to others. Can you introduce Anderson?

 

 

III Post-reading

1. Introduce Anderson. (Work in groups)

教师先展示一遍,然后请学生小组合作。每人一句,合作完成。

小组展示,介绍安徒生。(3个小组展示)

T: You can introduce Anderson well. But can you introduce another writer?

2. How to introduce a writer?

(总结如何介绍一个作家,为下面的写作做好铺垫)

3.      Writing(二选一)

先展示一些书籍的图片,然后出示作者。

最后总结:Reading good books makes us clever.

评价小组,看哪个小组获得书签最多,成为第一。奖品:一本英语故事书。

IV Homework

1. Find the information of your favourite writer and introduce him to your friends.

(必做)

2. Read Anderson’s fairy tales.(选做)
